Katherine Ellen Hogan Murray

Katherine Ellen Hogan Murray, 62, passed away October 21, 2010 after a short battle with pancreatic cancer. Ellen was born on December 13, 1947 in Savannah, Georgia to Michael Francis Hogan, Jr. and Katherine Veronica Dyer. She attended Cathedral Day School and graduated from Savannah High School in 1965. She worked at Bellsouth until she retired in 1994. Ellen was one of the founding members of the Daughters of Ireland. She was a communicant of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church.

Surviving are her husband of 38 years, Stuart O. Murray, Savannah; daughter and son-in-law, Deana and Daniel Shores; son, Stuart Ovid Murray, Jr.; three grandchildren, Hannah, Ian, and Jillian; brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Anne Hogan; sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Stephen Guetherman; sister-in-law, Linda Murray Wells; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Doug and Linda Murray; and many nieces, nephews and cousins who will miss her.

Christian Wake Service: 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 24, 2010 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service until 4:00 p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial: 10:00 a.m., Monday, October 25, 2010 at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church.

Burial: Hillcrest Abbey West.
